Save Our Schools March (NewJersey) Update, June 28th, 2012
*Some quick notes:
* Get thee and others to the convention on August 3rd-5th in Washington, DC. Come by bus, car, train, bicycle, etc. but try to get there. As I’ve reiterated, you can be a part of the People’s Principles and not be a writer, blogger, tweeter, academic, etc. Your thoughts, passions, and ideas will be received in all of the workshops. Friends of Public Education, Be Heard!
Many of the workshops will have chart paper to record comments following a workshop approach that will be considered in the final document. You may even add your two cents beforehand (see the attached flyer) by going to the website: Flyers http://saveourschoolsmarch.com/flyers/ or sending them to me since I will be down there for two days.
The convention is at The Marriot Wardman Park. If you need a special site for reduced prices for SOS attendees to stay at that Marriot at $109 per night, the link is: http://ow.ly/c3ga2
Group name: Save Our Schools
*A great article by our own NJ SOS member, Katie Strom and Brian Ford on tenure was on many Patches and in the Star -Ledger. Please take some time to read it: Op-Ed: Tenure Reform — The Teacher Perspective
